Community matters
JA Nursing We Care Inc. is a community based non profit committed to improving health and social literacy through education, advocacy and community engagement. Founded in 2015.
Our mission
We work alongside individuals, families, caregivers and community partners to reduce barriers to care, increase access to knowledge, and help people make informed decisions about their health and well being.
Through education, advocacy, community engagement and outreach, we help people gain the knowledge, confidence and resources needed to live healthier lives and build stronger communities.
Our programs
Helping people better understand health and social information, systems and resources so they can make informed decisions.
Bringing education and resources directly into the communities we serve.
Promoting the conversations that improve health and social outcomes.
Reducing barriers to information, services and community resources.
Our approach
Housing, education, employment, income, culture, community support and access to resources all shape well being. By addressing both health and the social determinants around it, we work to create meaningful and sustainable change.
Our approach is grounded in cultural competency, inclusion and respect, so that programs are responsive to the diverse needs of the communities we support.
Our impact
Our continued growth is made possible through the support of community members, volunteers, partners and organizations who share the vision. We are available throughout the GTA and surrounding areas, as well as the West Indies.
Whether you are looking for a community partner, an educational workshop, an outreach initiative or a health literacy program, we would love to connect.
