Personal support

Health care can get complicated. Get a nurse in your corner.

Whether you are navigating a new diagnosis, supporting a loved one, managing a disability or workers' compensation claim, or simply feeling overwhelmed by the health care system, you don't have to figure it out alone. Start with a consultation and let's talk about what is happening and what support may help.

Does this sound familiar

Health care can be hard to navigate.

Appointments are short, information can be confusing, and sometimes you leave with more questions than answers. You don't have to figure it all out on your own.

You leave an appointment unsure about what happens next.
You are caring for an aging parent and struggling to keep everything organized.
You are navigating a short term disability or workers' compensation claim and are unsure about the paperwork or next steps.
A loved one is coming home from hospital and you are unsure how to prepare for the recovery.
You are seeing multiple health care providers and struggling to keep everyone and everything organized.
You leave appointments wishing you had asked different questions.
Sometimes the challenge isn't only finding the right services. It's understanding what happens next and knowing where to turn.

What a health care advocate does

Someone in your corner to help you navigate what comes next.

A health care advocate helps individuals and families understand, navigate and organize their health care journey. The goal is not to make decisions for you. It is to help you understand your options, ask informed questions, reach the right resources and make decisions with more confidence.

Michelle brings experience as a Registered Practical Nurse, Certified Return to Work Coordinator and health and social advocate. This allows her to look beyond the immediate health concern and consider the factors that can affect a person's ability to navigate care, including family, work, income, housing and culture.

Advocacy support is educational and organizational. It does not replace medical advice, diagnosis or treatment from your own providers, it is not legal representation, and it is not an emergency service.
